I'd be lying if I said I wasn't exhausted at the end of the day in New York City yesterday. We arrived at NYU early in the morning, where the Recess crew got the load-out done into the Eisner & Lubin Auditorium just off of Washington Square Park. I slept in a little later on the bus, then got my booth setup done before students started arriving just before 11. Made lot of great connections with the NY crowd — lots of musicians and creative types — perfect for our MXLBuild platform.
After Playground, I took some time to write a few emails and enjoy the NY spring weather in the park, before heading back to NYU to hear Tony Conrad speak and the student pitch competitions. I actually got the chance to be a judge in the pitch competition at University of Maryland the previous day, and it was a great experience! The winner was the Mulciber Stove, a new wood-burning stove that cuts emissions and boosts efficiency.
The Recess Tour has been absolutely amazing. I have met so many awesome and passionate entrepreneurs whose ideas are truly going to change the world. The whole Recess team put on a flawless tour, and everyone had a great time. I want to shout out all of the companies who traveled on the bus, so see below.
